THE BOOK OF PSALMS CHAPTERS 61-90 |
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. -- 1:2 My soul waits in silence for God only; from Him is my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken. -- 62:1-2 Praise awaits you, O God, in Zion; to you our vows will be fulfilled. O you who hear prayer, to you all men will come. -- 65:1-2 If I regard wickedness in my heart, the Lord will not hear. -- 66:18 A father of the fatherless and a judge for the widows, is God in His holy habitation. -- 68:5 But as for me, I will hope continually, and will praise You yet more and more. My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness and of Your salvation all day long. -- 71:14-15 Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, Who alone works wonders. And blessed be His glorious name forever; and may the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen, and amen. -- 72:18-19 Whom have I in heaven but
You? And besides You, I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart
may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Yours is the day, Yours also
is the night; You have prepared the light and the sun. You have established
all the boundaries of the earth; You have made summer and winter.
I, the LORD, am your God, Who brought you up from the land of Egypt; open your mouth wide and I will fill it. -- 81:10 But I would feed you with the finest of the wheat, and with honey from the rock I would satisfy you. -- 81:16 How lovely are Your dwelling places, O LORD of hosts! -- 84:1 But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth. -- 86:15 Iwill sing of the lovingkindness of the LORD forever; to all generations I will make known Your faithfulness with my mouth. -- 89:1 O LORD God of hosts, who is
like You, O mighty LORD? Your faithfulness also surrounds You.
Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were born or You gave birth to the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. -- 90:1-2 Teach us to number our days,
that we may present to You a heart of wisdom. -- 90:12

Hear my cry, O God; Give heed
to my prayer. From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is
faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a refuge
for me, a tower of strength against the enemy. Let me dwell in Your tent
forever; let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah.
O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; my soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. Thus I have seen You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. -- 63:1-4 God be gracious to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us. Selah. That Your way may be known on the earth, Your salvation among all nations. Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise You. Let the nations be glad and sing for joy; for You will judge the peoples with uprightness and guide the nations on the earth. Selah. -- 67:1-4 You have ascended on high, You have led captive Your captives; You have received gifts among men, even among the rebellious also, that the LORD God may dwell there. Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, the God who is our salvation. Selah. God is to us a God of deliverances; and to GOD the Lord belongs escape from death. -- 68:18-20 Let heaven and earth praise Him, the seas and everything that moves in them. For God will save Zion and build the cities of Judah, that they may dwell there and possess it. The descendants of His servants will inherit it, and those who love His name will dwell in it. -- 69:34-36 I shall remember the deeds of the LORD; surely I will remember Your wonders of old. I will meditate on all Your work and muse on Your deeds. Your way, O God, is holy; what god is great like our God? You are the God who works wonders; You have made known Your strength among the peoples. You have by Your power redeemed Your people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah. -- 77:11-15 For a day in Your courts is
better than a thousand outside. I would rather stand at the threshold of
the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the
LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD gives grace and glory; no good thing
does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts,
how blessed is the man who trusts in You! -- 84:10-12
